Carry it Into Monday
A Note from Keirstin:
Yes, our preparation for worship is worship, too. You’ve heard me say it a million times and you will hear me say it a million more. But, Sunday is just the launching pad to the rest of the week.
One of the biggest hurdles I see parents battle is how to make the connection from Sunday morning worship to everyday life Monday - Friday.
Intentional biblical parenting is taking what our children are learning about God and helping them recognize what it looks like in real life.
So, our rhythm becomes something like this…
Saturday Night: We are preparing to hear from God.
Sunday Morning: We are worshipping and learning.
Sunday Evening: We are talking about what we heard.
Monday - Friday: We are looking for ways to live it.
Then… back to Saturday preparation.
I didn’t grow up in a Christian home, but there was a family down the street that was gracious enough to bring me to church with them on Sunday’s. Sunday morning worship felt like a box we had to check, because we never talked about church after church. I remember thinking as a child, “what is the point?” I also grew up wondering, “what does ‘having a relationship with God’ look like, if all we do is show up for church on Sunday?”
We do not want our kids to learn that faith is something we practice for an hour on Sunday. We want them to learn that what we believe about God changes the way we live every day.
Let’s make Sunday morning a Saturday night decision together.
Weekly Challenge
This evening, after you have packed the bags, set the alarms, picked the outfits, and read the Bible, pray for your pastor. Pray that your Pastor would preach from the overflow of what the Lord is doing in his own life, point people to Jesus, preach the Word of God with reverence, and be protected from the enemy.

Scripture for the Week
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
Matthew 7:24
Intentional conversations today shape a lifelong foundation for your children.
A Prayer for Your Family
Lord, thank You for the blessing of children to disciple. Let us not grow weary in doing what You have called us to do. Guide and direct our path to see how we can connect Sunday morning worship to the rest of our week. Help us to not miss the moments that You allow us to intentionally disciple our children. Allow our conversations to be rich and glorifying all week long. Amen.
